Objective
AIM Canada Income Class seeks to generate steady income by investing mainly in shares of established Canadian companies and high-quality royalty and income trusts.
Strategy
AIM Canada Income Class' portfolio consists of larger, more established companies with growth potential. The portfolio management team may write covered call options on the equities to generate cash flow and to help reduce volatility. The Fund seeks to pay a steady monthly distribution. Where the Fund is unable to generate the necessary cash from Canadian dividends and net realized gains, a portion of the distributions from the Fund will represent a return of capital.
