Alix Resources Corp. and Geo Minerals Ltd. Prepare to Drill Potash Targets on Manitoba-Saskatchewan Border VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 9, 2008 -- ALIX RESOURCES CORP. ("Alix" or the "Company") (CDNX:AIX.V - News)(Frankfurt:37N.F - News) and GEO MINERALS LTD. ("Geo") (CDNX:GM.V - News) announce
today that a borehole license application has been submitted
with regards to the companies' recently acquired potash
claims along the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border and adjoining
Potash North Resource Corp. to the west, and Western Potash
to the south, and BHP Billiton and Manitoba Potash a few
kilometres to the south developing the Russell-Binscarth
deposit. A maximum 3 hole drill program for hole depths of a maximum 1,500 metres is proposed to be carried out on their freehold title in the area of the potash applications. The program is to test the stratigraphy in the freehold title area and will test past the target potash (sylvite) zone of 800 to 1000 metres. It is anticipated that the program will commence sometime in late July, subject to all regulatory approvals. With the freehold title in Manitoba, no other process is required to obtain a borehole license, other than the application for a borehole license. Once granted, drilling can commence within the time period put forward on the borehole license application. Several options for drilling contractors are available to the company.
