the appointment of Mr. Mark E. Hewett, P. Eng. as President
and Director of Fortress Base Metals Corp. Mr. Hewett will
lead and direct exploration and development activities on
Fortress' existing mineral projects, as well as coordinate
strategic acquisitions and related opportunities. Mr. Hewett's
appointment is part of Fortress' strategy to aggressively
move forward on its existing properties and build value
through the acquisition of additional strategic and high
quality British Columbia mineral resource assets. Mr. Hewett brings with him a wealth of experience, both as a leader and engineer, at this key stage of Fortress Base Metals' development. Mark attained his Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) at UBC in 1993 and worked in municipal consulting and the energy sector within BC. He maintains his Professional Engineer status with APEGBC. Mark's previous employment was with Canaccord Capital as a Senior Investment Advisor and Vice President for the last 11 years.
