Shinhan Financial Group, South Korea's second-largest financial company in terms of assets, provides retail and corporate banking, credit cards, insurance, investment management, securities brokerage, and credit reporting services. Its primary subsidiary is Shinhan Bank, which with more than 1,000 locations has one of the largest branch networks in the country. Shinhan Financial Group has international operations in about a half-dozen Asian countries, Europe, and the US. Other units include Shinhan Investment Corp. (formerly Goodmorning Shinhan Securities, with more than 80 offices) and Shinhan Life Insurance (about 140 offices).
