Thomson West focuses on the letter of the law. The company, a subsidiary of financial information giant Thomson Reuters, publishes law books and online legal information. Its products, which are available in print and electronic formats, include law encyclopedias, textbooks, and study aids; state and federal law books; court opinions; how-to legal guides; and law indexes. Thomson West also operates the Westlaw online research service, which contains about 30,000 legal, financial, and business news databases. Other services include FindLaw (legal information portal) and Hubbard One (law firm marketing software). Thomson West is part of the Legal segment of the Thomson Reuters' Professional division.
