The segment was created in 2005 following a corporate shakeup at General Electric. Its primary businesses are GE's Consumer & Industrial and Fanuc Automation. Other units under Industrial's umbrella include GE Inspection Technologies, which provides non-destructive inspection services; security systems provider GE Security; and the leasing operations of GE Equipment Services.
