Personal stories and prayers are the foundation of Guideposts. The company publishes Guideposts, an inspirational magazine with more than 3 million subscribers. Other publications include Angels on Earth, Guideposts Sweet 16, and Ideals Magazine. In addition, Guideposts also publishes inspirational books, greeting cards, and music. The company was founded in 1945 by the late preacher Norman Vincent Peale (author of bestselling book The Power of Positive Thinking) and his wife Ruth. The company also operates The Peale Center, which performs outreach opportunities, including free distribution of its publications.
