Tasty Baking Company's name says it all. In addition to its popular Krimpet, the company is known for its Tastykake single-serve cupcakes, snack-sized cakes, and fruit pies. Baking some 439,000 butterscotch Krimpet snack cakes and 217,000 chocolate cupcakes every day, the company sells its products through convenience stores, supermarkets, and other retail food outlets mainly on the East Coast. Wal-Mart is its largest customer, accounting for some 19% of Tasty Baking's 2008 sales. The company also makes cookies, brownies, pastries, and donuts. Tasty Baking has expanded its distribution and now covers the entire continental US, as well as Puerto Rico.
