Atomic Dog Publishing's strategy is to blast past competitors' higher-priced textbooks. The company publishes college textbooks (remember how expensive those things were?) at prices lower than those offered on many larger companies' books. In order to offer more economical options to bookstores, students, and professors, Atomic Dog also sells soft-bound and interactive Web-based versions of some titles. More than 1,000 schools use at least one Atomic Dog textbook. The publishing house was founded in 2000.
