When it comes to publishing print and electronic directory information, Idearc (formerly Verizon Information Services) has got some big ideas. The company publishes yellow and white pages, business to business directories, and neighborhood directories, and is the exclusive publisher of Verizon branded yellow and white pages. It also operates the online local search product Superpages.com. Idearc additionally operates Superpages Mobile, an information directory for wireless subscribers, and provides direct and database marketing services. Most of the company's revenues come from print directory advertising. Idearc was spun off from Verizon Communications in 2006. It filed for Chapter 11 in 2009.
