Western Dental is a dental health maintenance organization (HMO) serving customers from about 200 offices and dental clinics located throughout California and Arizona. Hundreds of dentists, orthodontists, and other dental health specialists provide services directly; Western Dental extended network includes more than 1,700 independent providers. The company offers a variety of individual and group plans; services include general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics. Western Dental's roots go back to 1903, when Dr. Curtis Beauchamp founded the company to provide low-cost dental services.
