Bankers Financial Corporation has more to do with extended warranties and hurricanes than it does with checking and savings accounts. The holding company operates two primary arms: Bankers Insurance Group and Bankers Business Group. The insurance group offers both commercial and personal lines through three property/casualty carriers, an annuity company, and an insurance outsourcing services provider. The business group offers a whole range of services from bail bonds to new-home warranties to medical plans through about seven different companies mostly located in Florida. Its diverse portfolio even includes a private hunting and sporting club in the Florida woodlands called the Gilchrist Club.
