On October 22, 2009, Allegheny Energy, Inc. issued a press release announcing the final results of the previously announced cash tender offer for debt securities by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Allegheny Energy Supply Company, LLC ("AE Supply"). AE Supply has accepted for purchase all validly tendered 7.80% Notes due 2011 in the aggregate principal amount of $152,000,000 pursuant to the cash tender offer. The press release, which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference, provides greater details on the transaction.
