ITEM 2.01 Completion of Acquisition or Disposition of Assets.
On October 2, 2009, Hubbell Switch Holding Co., Inc. (the "Buyer"), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Hubbell Incorporated (the "Company"), completed the previously announced acquisition of FCI Americas, Inc. (the business known as "BurndyŽ", a North American designer and manufacturer of connectors, cable accessories and application tooling serving the power utility industry and the construction, maintenance and repair markets ) on the terms previously disclosed in the Company's Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 22, 2009.
A copy of the Company's press release announcing the consummation of the transaction is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
