On August 26, 2009 the Board of Directors of ESSA Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") announced that the Company would make a payment of a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share of common stock. This dividend shall be paid to stockholders of record as of September 16, 2009, payable on September 30, 2009.
A copy of the press releases announcing this item is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
