On August 3, 2009, Hong Liang Lu left his position as Executive Chairman of UTStarcom, Inc., as announced in the Company's press release attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report. Mr. Lu's departure is governed by the terms and conditions set forth in his Change of Control/Involuntary Termination Severance Agreement.
