Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

On July 15, 2009, Atlanta Gas Light Company (Atlanta Gas Light), a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL Resources Inc., filed a request with the Georgia Public Service Commission to postpone its scheduled filing of a rate case for an increase in basic service rates on November 1, 2009 until as late as June 1, 2010.

The actual press release dated July 16, 2009 announcing the postponement of the rate case filing as published is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
