(b) Departure of Named Executive Officer
On April 20, 2009, Donald D. Hurrle, Sr., Vice President, Sales, Grocery Market
of The J. M. Smucker Company, notified the Company's Board of Directors that he
would be retiring effective June 30, 2009. Mr. Hurrle has been with the Company
for over 32 years and has served as the Company's Vice President, Sales, Grocery
Market since April 2001.
