SPARKS, Md. (AP) -- Food and seasonings maker McCormick & Co. on Tuesday increased its quarterly dividend to 26 cents per share from 24 cents.

The dividend is payable Jan. 15 to shareholders of record Dec. 31. The company noted in a release that the move marks the 24th consecutive year it has increased its quarterly dividend.

McCormick has paid dividends every year since 1925.

Shares of McCormick gained 11 cents to $36.53 in after-hours trading, after slipping 3 cents during the regular session to close at $36.42.
