ISELIN, N.J. (AP) -- Maidenform Brands Inc., a seller of bras and underwear, said Tuesday its board has elected the CEO of beauty products maker Coty Inc., Bernd Beetz, as a director.

Beetz has been CEO of privately held Coty since 2001. Earlier he was CEO of Parfums Christian Dior France, a subsidiary of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton. He has also worked for Procter & Gamble Co. in Europe.

Beetz will serve on Maidenform's nominating and governance committee.

Shares of Maidenform, based in Iselin, N.J., fell 23 cents to $15.85 on Tuesday.
