PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Mylan Inc. said Tuesday the Food and Drug Administration approved its generic version of the heartburn drug Prevacid.

Mylan will sell 15-milligram and 30-milligram delayed-release capsule versions of the drug.

Mylan said the branded version of Prevacid had sales of about $3 billion in the 12 months ending June 30.

Shares of Mylan fell 32 cents to $17.59 in afternoon trading.
